Our Beneficiaries
Each year, the Sean Ryan Foundation selects an individual or family fighting brain cancer. Our community raises funds to help them with the costs of illness and care.
How It Works
Nomination
Individuals or families fighting brain cancer within 200 miles of Winona, MN can be nominated. Deadline: March 1 annually.
Selection
The foundation board reviews nominations and selects a beneficiary who is willing to share their story with the community.
Support
Beneficiaries receive financial assistance, awareness campaigns, and the full support of the community through the annual events.

Nathan Krenik
Nathan Krenik, a skier, husband, father, and friend, was diagnosed with high grade Glioblastoma in early 2026. Through it all, Nate remains grounded, optimistic, and deeply grateful. The 2026 benefit dinner was named in his honor.

Maria Beavers
In loving memory of Maria Beavers (1997–2025). Diagnosed with DIPG in 2020, Maria raised awareness, advocated for others, and shared her experience with the brain tumor community. Warrior Award recipient, advocate, and founder of Maria's Miracle.
