Our Beneficiaries
Each year, the Sean Ryan Foundation selects a beneficiary — an individual or family fighting brain cancer — and rallies the community around them.
How It Works
Nomination
Individuals or families fighting brain cancer within 200 miles of Winona, MN can be nominated. Deadline: March 1 annually.
Selection
The foundation board reviews nominations and selects a beneficiary who is willing to share their story with the community.
Support
Beneficiaries receive financial assistance, awareness campaigns, and the full support of the community through the annual events.

Nate Krenik
Nate Krenik — a devoted husband and ski patrol volunteer at Afton Alps — was diagnosed with brain cancer in early 2026. This year's benefit dinner is named in his honor.
